Do you sell outside
your shop?
Yes, we cater to Inkjet and Laser, or Toner, Cartridge
owners, not only Australia Wide, but World Wide. We have been involved with the
Inkjet Cartridge refilling and remanufacturing since The Inkjet industry started
some 12 years ago, and have been dispatching goods through Australia Post and
Couriers on a daily basis.
Q. Will Mister Inkjet’s
Universal Inkjet Refill System work in my printer?
A. Yes. The Universal Inkjet Refill System uses a
specially formulated ink that works in any printer. When a cartridge is first
made, the manufacturer filled the cartridge with ink & then sealed the
filling hole. When refilling, all you are doing is accessing that original
filling hole and adding more ink
Q. Does using Mister Inkjet’s Universal Inkjet void my warranty?
A. According to Hewlett Packard®, the use of a refilled print
cartridge does not affect the warranty, unless failure or damage is attributable
to it. This is typical of all manufacturers' warranties. Keep in mind that the
ink does not touch any part of the printer or internal parts other than the
cartridge and print head. The ink is applied to the paper as the paper is fed
through the printer.
Q. Are the colours the same as
the original?
A. For all practical purposes, yes. If there are
slight variations in color, they can be adjusted through software. Please read
the General Refill Tips for
advice on maximizing your refill experience and extending the life of your
cartridge. Note: As we manufacture Inkjet Ink in
Q. Will Mister Inkjet’s
Universal Ink clog my printer
head?
A. Mister Inkjet’s Universal Ink is refined to 1/6 of
a micron, whereas Hewlett Packard ink (for example) is refined to only 1 micron.
Please note that allowing your printer to remain idle can cause ink to dry and
clog your printer head. We have available Inkjet Print Head & Cartridge
cleaner available, for cartridges that have been left to dry out.
Q. Is Mister Inkjet’s Universal
Inkjet Refill System messy?
A. No. Mister Inkjet’s Universal Inkjet Refill System
uses a needle injector which allows you to precisely control the filling
process. Just follow the instructions and do the
refilling over a protected surface such as a kitchen sink or work bench.
Q. How many refills can I get
with the amount of ink supplied in the Universal Inkjet Refill
System?
A. That depends on your cartridge capacity. For example, a Hewlett Packard C6657A cartridge can hold 3-5ml of ink (per color) thus giving you 4 refills to each chamber, using our smallest kit. This works out to about $1.00 per colour! A larger kit works out to about .50c per Colour! Please check your instruction manual to determine your cartridge capacity. Also the larger the bottles of ink, the more refills.
Q. How many times can a
cartridge be refilled?
A. The answer varies depending on the manufacturer and
the model. All inkjet cartridges have a limited life span, and typically a
cartridge will last between 3 - 10 refills due to the electronics that control
printer jets. Small resistors on the cartridge overheat when the ink runs out,
therefore limiting the life of the cartridge. You can extend the life of your
cartridge by not letting the ink run out completely before refilling. Cartridges
with no Print Head can be refilled numerous times.
Q. Does Mister Inkjet have
Universal inks for the new 6 color systems?
A. Yes. Mister Inkjet makes Universal Light Cyan and
Light Magenta inks which are used by Canon, Epson, HP, and Lexmark to produce
better skin tones in photo reproductions.
Q. What can I do if the
cartridge print nozzles are clogged?
A. Uneven printing, skipping, or no print may suggest clogged print nozzles. If a cartridge has been left, unused or stored for a long period of time, its print nozzles may become blocked with old dried ink. One method is to allow the print heads to soak in our Cartridge & Print Head Cleaner for an hour, this should help unclog the print nozzles and restore print quality. For printers with internal print heads, we suggest using our Cartridge & Print Head Cleaner to soak through the tubing, and clean the print head.
Full instructions are available.
Q. What is the shelf life of
Mister Inkjet’s Universal ink?
A. The shelf life of an unopened bottle is approximately 3 years. Once a bottle has been opened, the shelf life is about 3 years. In order to achieve this optimal shelf life, the ink should be stored in an airtight container and not exposed to direct sunlight or any type of UV light. Q. How do we obtain Technical
Support A. Inkjet refilling is an "Art" and not a science. Inkjet cartridges are designed for single use and the amount of refills you get per cartridge can vary from 2 up to 20 or more. Occasionally there are questions when refilling your
inkjet cartridge. There are many reasons why you could have difficulties
with refilling that are not related to the ink and the cartridge will not
print. With our technical support page we have attempted to answer the
most common refill issues. If your difficulty is not listed here please
e-mail us at
07 5564 0611 Can
I buy bulk ink? Yes and you will save even
more money once you have the tools to refill your cartridge. This is
especially important for those with colour cartridges that have all three
colours in the one unit. As you refill these you will find that depending
on the type of printing you are doing you will use one colour more than
the others. As a benefit you can purchase one particular colour rather
than purchasing all three colours. I
have refilled my Epson cartridge and have put it back in the printer but
the out of ink light will not turn off? Leaving your printer on take
the cartridge out and put it back in. This will then switch the light off.
Do you sell
cartridges? Yes, we sell Compatible and
Remanufactured cartridges for all Inkjet Printers, and most Laser, or
Toner, Cartridges. We do not usually stock new, or OEM,
cartridges. |
